Gaskets
Spiral Wound
Spiral wound gaskets provide flexible, reliable sealing for fluctuating temperature and pressure conditions. We stock Thermiculite 835 and various Flexitallic styles for precision sealing in flanged joints, heat exchangers, and boiler applications—resisting nearly all corrosive and toxic elements.
Flexpro (Kammprofile)
The Flexpro Kammprofile gasket combines the compressibility of a sheet gasket with the bolt tightness of a spiral wound, plus the easy handling and buckling resistance of solid metal. It resists flange rotation, bolt stress relaxation, and creep—even under extreme pressure and temperature changes.
High-temperature facing material for kammprofile gaskets, suitable for use from cryogenic temperatures up to 1800ºF (982ºC) and compatible with Class 150 to 2500 applications. |
The Flexpro gasket delivers excellent compressibility and recovery, maintaining joint tightness despite pressure and temperature fluctuations, flange rotation, and bolt stress relaxation. It’s suitable for applications ranging from vacuum to extremely high pressure. |

Ring Type Joints (RTJ)
Style R ring type joints are made to API 6A and ASME B16.20 standards for API 6B and ASME B16.5 flanges, available in both oval and octagonal shapes. Both fit modern flat bottom grooves, but only the oval style suits old round bottom grooves. Designed to seal pressures up to 6,250 psi (ASME B16.5) and 5,000 psi (API 6A), they ensure reliable performance in high-pressure applications. |
Style BX ring type joints are manufactured to API 6A standards and feature a pressure passage hole for equalization across sealing faces. They achieve metal-to-metal contact upon assembly, are only compatible with API 6BX flanges, and are designed to seal pressures up to 20,000 psi. |
Style RX ring type joints are manufactured to API 6A and ASME B16.20 standards for API 6B and ASME B16.5 flanges, available in both oval and octagonal shapes. Both fit modern flat bottom grooves, but only the oval style fits old round bottom grooves. They are designed to seal pressures up to 6,250 psi (ASME B16.5) and 5,000 psi (API 6A). |
